Our Work

Atomic Beet was started as a creative project to bring awareness to important issues and injustices we face everyday. Mutual Aid is a large part of Atomic Beet and why we exist. This page will highlight some of the projects and organizations we work with, have worked with, or are just super fans of to raise funds and awareness for their missions.

These groups are not officially associated with Atomic Beet, and any opinions and statements made by Atomic Beet are their own, not of the organizations listed below.

TEAM Exeter

TEAM is an art organization in Exeter NH. They work to bring music and art festivals and events to the town all year round and help artists grow and be seen. They also offer art scholarships to local students. In 2021 I created a "Rise Up Exeter" design for TEAM to be used on shirts to raise funds for their organization.

02

Reproductive Freedom Fund of NH

The Reproductive Freedom Fund of NH is an amazing non-profit that removes financial barriers for anyone receiving abortion care in NH through direct service funding and movement building, guided by patient need.

When Roe was originally overturned I created a design that $10 from each shirt was donated to this fund, and also donated stickers, pins, and key-chains for them to sell at their own events.

NH Mutual Aid Relief Fund

The NH Mutual Aid Relief Fund is a grassroots effort of working-class people who believe that direct action and solidarity are the best ways to meet the material and social needs of our community.

NHMARF is the default recipient of the "$10 per tshirt sold" sales model Atomic Beet uses . Unless the item has been made for another group, the proceeds from the shirt sales go to NHMARF. We are not officially associated, but they are a group that Atomic Beet strongly supports in every way.

04

Affirming Spaces Project

Affirming Spaces Project mission is to help local businesses and organizations create more welcoming and affirming spaces for all.

Atomic Beet is a Community Partner of ASP and has created the "Ally Cat" design to benefit their organization. ASP offers a wonderful FREE training for businesses and organizations. We highly recommend bringing them into your business or group for training!

Salem Survival Program

Salem Survival Program is dedicated to just and humane living for unhoused and low-income people under the capitalist occupation of Naumkeag land also known as Salem.

The fine folks at Warm-up Boston asked if anyone could help a new group with their logo. I offered to design with them and we created their logo together. Atomic Beet offers a rolling fundraiser for SSP with totes and tees their design.

Art of Advocacy

Advocate NH Conference

Do you want to learn the art of advocacy to reach your goals and support the disability community? After several years on hiatus, ABLE NH and the UNH IOD, along with support from People First of NH, are bringing the Advocate NH Conference back!

We invite beginners and experienced advocates alike to join us on October 4, 2024 at the Concord Holiday Inn for the 2024 Advocate NH Conference: The Art of Advocacy. Learn about personal finance, accessible housing, and employment-related issues. Connect with fellow advocates on issues that are important to you … all while having fun! Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Atomic Beet has been asked to facilitate the Poster Making Art Activity for this event. Maureen has been working diligently on making stamps for folks to make up protest style posters to use at the Disability Justice Parade on October 5th.
